I've been on the struggle bus the last couple of weeks in regards to motivation for my own things. Doing things for other people is so much easier. I think I finally figured out why this is (at least for me): doing things for other people takes the decision-making away, so you can't get caught up in "making the right choice". I'm sure this is an obvious thing, but I just realized it. So it makes total sense that when I sit down to work on my own projects, my motivation comes up empty. Just like that scene in Spaceballs.

I wrote a whole post that was well thought out and kind of structured.... and then I tried to post it and the Internet gods went "lol no" and erased everything I did. All my saved revisions are just duplicates of the same opening paragraph.
Annoyingly, I had a similar technical thing happen before, too. Rather than try to fight it, or get frustrated (because I am - incredibly - frustrated), I'm going to just leave you with this short mess of a post, and a picture of the Pumpkin Cat we have in our yard. Our neighbor dog, Max, is very proud of his modeling skills.
